Chilled Semen
Chilled or cooled semen is fresh semen with an extender added that preserves the semen to hold for up to 14 days at 5-10 degrees Celsius (stored in refrigerator NOT freezer). Chilled semen is an ideal solution to save time and travel to a stud dog. Semen is collected before 10am from the stud dog and its shipped to the breeder to arrive before 12 noon next day.

Frozen Semen
Sire management procedures and understanding the peculiarities of each sire is essential for prolonging the active working life of a sire. It also facilitates the collection of quality semen which is more likely to sustain the rigors of processing to -196°C. This applies equally to the stud dog who may be collected only 2 - 3 times per year as much as high demand sires.

Progesterone Testing
Since 2004, Trade Genetics has carried out in-house progesterone testing for dogs… The most common cause of a missed conception is improper timing of mating. Long gone are the times when a mating at day 12-14 guaranteed a successful pregnancy. We have observed the cycles of 5 days and 25 days and no bitch is the same or even no cycle of the same bitch is guaranteed to be the same as her last one.
