Mobile Semen Collections
Since 2004 Trade Genetics has been performing mobile collections in a fully equipped, specifically designed and fitted mobile lab. Since 2008 we have successfully carried out frozen semen collections of sires at Crufts and other major dog shows.
Trade Genetics offer mobile semen collections in Ireland, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom and mainland Europe. Our experienced cryopreservation technician will arrive at your home or kennels to collect and freeze the semen of your sire. At this stage the preliminary semen count, morphology and motility are performed. The number of breeding units is estimated and the paperwork is completed. The final analysis is conducted upon the return of the technician to the clinic.
Mobile semen collections of the dogs’ semen have become extremely popular among the breeders all over the world. They save a lot of time for the owners. They also eliminate the stress of travelling and/or unfamiliar environment for the sires.
It is very convenient for a larger kennel to organise a mobile semen collection if there are more than one sire to be collected or checked.
Mobile lab semen collections at the international dog shows will considerably decrease the costs of semen shipments or costs of travelling for a mating if planned in advance.
